We have to start somewhere

‘Salt’ is a theme that’s been in the works for some time, I originally built it as a framework for creating clients websites. It got kind of bloated, so the last year I’ve been slowly trimming it down, it’s been on quite a diet!

I’ve just submitted ‘Salt’ to WordPress.org, to try and get it on the WordPress repository – which I’ve never done before, but I have tried my best to follow their rules.

Once Salt is out there, I’m going to focus on cleaning up two themes that were¬†designed for WheelsPlusWings and United Foundation, 2 really awesome charity organisations here in Beijing – we’ll definitely write more about them later.

We will also be working with a Charity Event in Beijing to create a simple one-page type site, which will also be available to download.

The whole point of charity: themes is to try to use my skills to help charities & non-profits; firstly by designing and creating a site that a worthwhile organisation can use, but then by also selling the theme online and giving most of the proceeds back to the charity.

We’ll see how it goes!

    1. Hi Oluwatumbi, I’m sorry I didn’t see your comment earlier. I am not sure if you are still using Salt Theme and having a problem with it, but let me know and I will try and help you resolve it. Thanks!
